A Poem
THE GEARS OF TIME

The first decade of my life
Just zoomed past me
And now even the second
Is almost over

I used to wonder off into Dreamcore
before the prime of the night
Now sleep refuses to hold me hostage
Because I have a fetish for anxiety
Every now and then

I used to be care-free and glance
at the world absent-sent mindedly.
Now every step I take, every word I voice
I do it with caution because the hills have eyes
And the evils of the world refuse,
Because society has rules on what to be and not be.

If Kronos the Titan of time truly exists,
Why did he move the gears of time too quickly?
If father time looms the strand of time
Who demanded a tapestry from the strands of time?
Time is as hard yet as essential as tungsten
As merciless as Kratos
As distant as the edge of the universe.

The gears of time,
they screech against one another
like chalk does on a black board.

Time is important, they say;
“It holds all matter”
“It heals all wounds”
“It is needed in our society to grow”

If you ask me, time is as equal to the potentials of cancer.
It seeps into the pores of the body of our society
Breaks and depletes the vital organs of society
And damages the feat of life
Curses us with memories we doubt their existence.
And aids us to wither and crumble to dust.

The gears of time,
They have been turning
Since the birth of existence
The gears of time
I implore you to take a standstill
To cool the tips of your sprockets
For I cannot comprehend your ways.

Haiku
ABSENT-MINDED SOCIETY

Chaos will lurk in
Evil will gleem further
Absent-minded society will shatter

BE HAPPY
Be happy everyday anew
Sun will promise tomorrow
Storm clouds never again
